Versailles is a city in the department of the Yvelines, Île-de-France, renowned worldwide for the Château de Versailles and the gardens of Versailles, designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
A new town founded at the will of King Louis XIV, Versailles was the de facto capital of the Kingdom of France for over a century, from 1682 to 1789, before becoming the cradle of the French Revolution. After having lost its status of royal city, it became the préfecture of the Seine-et-Oise département in 1790, then of Yvelines in 1968.
This pack does not contain a full photogrammetry extract of the city but rather focuses on a few emblematic or massive buildings to keep acceptable size and performances for lower configurations. Due to the particular architecture of Versailles not being faithfully rendered in the game (many traditional buildings being replaced by flat-roofed modern ones), I went a bit the extra mile and also rendered some areas that could not be considereed as landmarks per se. All mods remain independant and can be individually deactivated if the impact on your performance proves to be too demanding.
This pack contains the following mods:
-Grand Trianon: The Grand Trianon is a French Baroque style château situated in the northwestern part of the Domain of Versailles in Versailles, France. It was built at the request of King Louis XIV of France as a retreat for himself and his maîtresse-en-titre of the time, the Marquise de Montespan, and as a place where he and invited guests could take light meals (collations) away from the strict étiquette of the royal court.
In 1920, the Grand Trianon hosted the negotiations and signing of the Treaty of Trianon, which left Hungary with less than one-third of its pre-World War I land size. To Hungarians, the word "Trianon" remains to this day the symbol of one of their worst national disasters.
A popular site today for tourists visiting Versailles, it is also one of the French Republic's presidential residences used to host foreign officials.
-Petit Trianon: The Petit Trianon is a Neoclassical style château located on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles in Versailles, France. It was built between 1762 and 1768 during the reign of King Louis XV of France. Marie Antoinette would come to the Petit Trianon not only to escape the formality of court life, but also to shake off the burden of her royal responsibilities. Within the queen's apartment, Marie Antoinette's need for privacy is apparent: the decor of her boudoir displays an inventiveness unique to the age, featuring mirrored panels that, by the simple turning of a crank, can be raised or lowered to obscure the windows and reflect the candlelight.
-Hotel Waldorf Astoria: more commonly known as Trianon Palace, it is a five star hotel located near the castle and built in 1910. The hotel is managed by the Hilton hotel group under the luxury brand Waldorf Astoria.
-Grande Ecurie: La Grande Écurie is located on the Place d'Armes, in front of the castle, between the avenues of Saint-Cloud and of Paris. It was built under the direction of the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart and completed in 1682. Equipped with a merry-go-round , it housed the king's hunting and war horses.
-Petite Ecurie: La Petite Écurie is located on the Place d'Armes, symetrically to the Grande Ecurie, between the avenues of Paris and of Sceaux .
it was built under the direction of the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart and completed in 1681. It now houses the National School of Architecture of Versailles and the workshops of the French museums research and restoration center .
-Cathédrale Saint-Louis: its first stone was laid by Louis XV on 12 June 1743 and the church was consecrated on 24 August 1754. The architect was Jacques Hardouin-Mansart de Sagonne (1711-1778), a grandson of the famous architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart. During the French Revolution it was used as a Temple of Abundance, and badly defaced. It was chosen and used as the cathedral by the post-Revolutionary bishop, who preferred it to the church of Notre-Dame in Versailles, which had been the choice of the preceding constitutional bishop.
-Eglise Notre-Dame de Versailles: The church was built at the command of Louis XIV by Jules Hardouin-Mansart in the Baroque architectural style and was consecrated on 30 October 1686. The parish of Notre-Dame included the Palace of Versailles and thus registered the baptisms, marriages and burials of the French royal family. In 1791, it was declared a cathedral but converted to a Temple of Reason in 1793. After the Revolution, the bishop of Versailles chose the Church of Saint-Louis as his seat instead.
-Place du Marché: The marché Notre-Dame is located in the heart of the Notre-Dame district, in Versailles. It was created over 300 years ago by King Louis XIV.
-Espace Richaud: The Richaud Hospital, formerly the Royal Hospital of Versailles, is a historical monument completely restored and transformed since 2015 into housing, shops and liberal professions.
-Lycée Hoche: The Lycée Hoche is a public secondary school located in Versailles, not very far away from the famous Palace of Versailles. Formerly, it had been a nunnery founded by French queen Marie-Antoinette. It became a school in 1803 after the French Revolution. In 1888, the school was named "Lycée Hoche" after the French general Lazare Hoche who was born in Versailles. Among the famous alumni are Raymond Aron (French philosopher), Boris Vian (French poet and musician) or Francisco Madero (Mexican statesman and President of Mexico from 1911 until his assasination in 1913).
-Lycée Sainte-Geneviève: a renowned private lycée providing preparatory classes for French grandes écoles. It was founded in Paris, April 1854 and is often nicknamed Ginette. Among the famous alumni are Hubert Lyautey (Marshal of France), Jean de Lattre de Tassigny (Marshal of France), Edouard Michelin (CEO of Michelin) or Albert Jacquard (French geneticist).
-Association Educative Saint-Jean Hulst: founded in 1878, it is a secondary school which counts more than 3,000 students. It is known for its Baccalauréat results: 100% accepted from 2006 to 2014. Among the famous alumni are Henri Emilien Rousseau (French painter), Emmanuel d'Astier de La Vigerie (French journalist and resistant) or Erik Orsenna (French politician and novelist).
-Eglise Sainte Jeanne d'Arc: a church built in the first half of 20th century in neobyzantine style.
-Monument National de la Gendarmerie: Erected in November 1941, this monument is a structure paying homage to the forces of the gendarmerie. Located Place de la Loi , in Versailles , it marks the boundary with the neighboring town of Chesnay.
-Porte Saint Antoine: it is a triumphal arch located at the end of Allée Saint Antoine which starts at the grand canal.
-Eglise Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue: built at the end of the 19th century and located in the town of Le Chesnay, it has a 60-meter bell tower which dominates the entire plain of Versailles.
-Hôtel de Ville: The Versailles town hall is located at 4 avenue de Paris . The building as it stands today, was built at the turn of 20th century. Decided in 1897 by order of the then mayor Édouard Lefebvre , its construction was entrusted to the architect Henri Legrand . It was inaugurated on November 18, 1900.
-Préfécture des Yvelines: The Hôtel de la Préfecture de Versailles was built from 1863 to 1866 on the site of the king's former kennel, by the Versailles architect Amédée Manuel on a commission from the prefect Édouard Charton. It was inaugurated on June 19, 1867.
These mods are completed by Rue Colbert and Rue de la Chancellerie around the Place d'Armes to make it more faithful to its actual aspect.

Could it be in ZIp form instead or Rar?

Thanks so much for this scenery!
I do have an issue with the Eglise Sainte Jeanne d'Arc which prevents the sim from loading. I don't see anyone else reporting that as an issue. so maybe it's just me. I removed that folder from the package and all is good!

Bravo!

The Lycée Hoche was built on the place of the Castle of Clagny, offered to Mme de Montespan by Louis XIV.
The church in Le Chesnay in the middle of Parly II is now a modern one, your representation is more sympathic, but the scale is much too big ... 😉

On reconnaît un peu plus maintenant.
Petite suggestion, il manque quand même la Mairie avec la caserne de pompier à côté.
Le top serait une modélisation de l'hôpital Mignot avec son Helipad 😁
Mais merci pour cette jolie scène.
