The Kingdom in the sky
Lesotho, like an island in the sea, is completely surrounded by the Republic of South Africa. The capital is Maseru, from which you will find several medical teams and medical equipment distributed throughout the country.
Lesotho is called "The Kingdom in the Sky" because of its high altitude - the capital is 5,300 ft above sea level, for example - and is mostly mountains. However, the people there are still very far from "heavenly conditions." The immunodeficiency disease AIDS is still raging in the country, and now Corona is added to the list.
Several international medical teams are ready to help the people in the country and also bring urgently needed equipment and you will bring both to the places of action. You will have to cope with several adverse conditions:
- The weather is - as it usually is up here - windy and cloudy. But if it gets too heavy, you can set other weather.
- Some airfields can only be approached from one side.
- You must not exceed an altitude of 10,000 ft.
- You must land as softly as possible (below 400 FPM) to avoid damaging the equipment. (For training, you can use this landing indicator, for example: https://de.flightsim.to/file/1415/gees-in-game-landing-analysis)
- Your Cessna 208B Grand Caravan is constantly being unloaded and loaded, which of course affects the flight characteristics.
So it's not a trip to take in the sights or nature, but hard work for an experienced bush pilot.
Specification:
- The mission consists of 7 legs and covers 164 NM.
- The Cessna 208B Grand Caravan had better not be replaced because of the load. A smaller aircraft would be overloaded and a larger one would have problems with the short landing strips.
- The package is multilingual in the languages: English US, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese BR, Russian, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish. The basic language is German. The other languages are machine translated, so there may be errors in the translation. If you have a better translation, please send it to me.
- For all waypoints there is an English voice output (TTS) with description of the route. All this can be read in the NAVLOG.
- IMPORTANT: Switch to the main menu after each landing. After that the next flight can be started. This is necessary, otherwise some legs can not be completed.
- The GPS is usable but there is no flight route stored. So use the route description of the voice output or read in the NAVLOG.
- ATC is usable.
Always safe landings wishes,
Koschi

Hello Koschi,
First, thanks for creating this challenge in Lesotho. It is great countries like these get some extra attention and this is a great way to do that, I think.
My request to you is. Could you create one or more versions with less difficulty levels? I understand the fun of your version, and you already warn about the "hard working" character of this flight.
But for less experienced pilots like me, it would be great if by example the flightplan and planeposition would be visible on the vfrmap. Enough challende left for people like me.
Ofcourse feel free to stay with the actual difficulty level, but if it would not cost much effort, I would really appreciate one or more less difficult versions.
Or maybe it is possible to add a selection option at the beginnen of the challenge, in which one can switch on or off difficulty factors?
Kind regards

Hi Bram Stikkel,
yes, this mission is really not easy. For practice I have uploaded the flight plan here as a second file. There you can set any difficulty level you want.
Have fun with it.
