Repaint of Cathay Pacific Airways DC-6B, reg VR-HFG for the PMDG DC-6 addon.
You can learn more about Cathay Pacific, and this aircraft on this webstie: http://www.chingchic.com/dc6---vr-hfg.html
The aircraft was first registerd with CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS LTD on 7/FEB/1955 and de-registered, sold out of HKG on 23/DEC/1962 per Civial Aviation Department HK registers.
The DC-6B was a game-changer. It was the first aircraft that Cathay Pacific bought new from the manufacturer – it cost HK$6,736,860 – while for those sitting in the cockpit, it came equipped with radar, also a novelty for the fleet at this time. It sent out another signal, too: that Cathay Pacific was about to join the top table of global airlines.

See included readme for installation instructions. Both methods offered - Community Folder and .ptp file.
Created using PMDG's DC6 paintkit. Originally made for P3Dv4.

Love the livery, unfortunately I still suffer from the "pink control column" even after the latest update :-/ Tried both the ptp file and the Community drop, same result. Doesn't stop me from flying it of course 😋

Hey. Oh no!
Some trouble shooting you could do:
Can you make sure that in your "SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG-DC6B-CPA\TEXTURE.CPA-VRHFG" folder if you see 2 files called:
Those 2 files missing is what caused the issue in my original upload. But it was fixed after adding those two, and then updating the "layout.json" of that livery.
Then I just used the PMDG Ops center to export the installed livery to new .PTP.
Hope that helps you fix it!

Fantastic work! Hope to see more versions of Cathay. I remember a green and a grey versions also existed. They are all beautiful~~

Thanks. It's nothing too great to be honest, but it gets the job done from afar. Hardest part was recreating those Cathay logos since not much high quality source material.
I plan on doing a white-grey one like on the DC4s at some point. Though idk what you mean by green and gray? Maybe link some images of what you mean? Thanks!
