NEW in v1.1: added Ullandhaugtårnet and Deja Vu Skråtårnet
Stavanger is a city and municipality in Norway. It is the fourth largest city and third largest metropolitan area in Norway and the administrative centre of Rogaland county. The municipality is the fourth most populous in Norway. Located on the Stavanger Peninsula in Southwest Norway, Stavanger counts its official founding year as 1125, the year the Stavanger Cathedral was completed. Stavanger's core is to a large degree 18th- and 19th-century wooden houses that are protected and considered part of the city's cultural heritage. This has caused the town centre and inner city to retain a small-town character with an unusually high ratio of detached houses, and has contributed significantly to spreading the city's population growth to outlying parts of Greater Stavanger.
This pack does not contain a full photogrammetry extract of the city but rather focuses on a few emblematic or massive buildings to keep acceptable size and performances for lower configurations.
It contains the following mods:
-Norsk Oljemuseum: The Nowegian Petroleum Museum was designed by the architectural firm of Lunde & Løvseth Arkitekter A/S and was opened on 20 May 1999. The unusual architecture has made the museum a landmark in the Port of Stavanger. The museum was built in stone, glass and concrete and covers approx. 5,000 square meters. The museum focuses on offshore petroleum activity especially in the North Sea. The museum displays objects, films, photographs and other materials have been collected that document Norwegian oil and gas activities. The museum shows the technological development from the beginning of the Norwegian oil history in the mid-1960s, from the first North Sea drilling platforms, through steel and concrete platforms developed and built in Norway, to modern, flexible production ships and subsea systems. The museum comes with its own POI.
-Stavanger Havnsilo: this huge silo was built for grain by the Norwegian State Cereal Store. The largest silo building was built in 1965, the smallest in 1978.
-Stavanger domkirke: Stavanger Cathedral is Norway's oldest cathedral and the seat of the Bishop of Stavanger who leads the Diocese of Stavanger in the Church of Norway. The church is situated in the centre of the city, in the borough of Storhaug between Breiavatnet in the south, the square with Vågen in the north west, the cathedral square in the north, and Kongsgård in the southwest. It is one of the two churches for the Domkirken og St. Petri parish which is part of the Stavanger domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray, stone church was built in a long church style around the year 1125 using designs by an unknown architect. The church seats about 800 people.
-St Petri kirke: St. Petri Church is located in the borough of Storhaug which lies near the centre of the city of Stavanger in the far southwestern part of the municipality. It is one of the two churches for the Domkirken og St. Petri parish which is part of the Stavanger domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red, brick church was built in a long church style in 1866 using designs by the architect Fritz von der Lippe. The church seats about 900 people. The church is informally called the Petrikirken.
-Stavanger bybru: Stavanger City Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge which crosses the Straumsteinsundet strait connecting the city centre of Stavanger to the small islands of Grasholmen and Sølyst. The bridge has one tower and it was one of the first larger cable-stayed bridge in Norway when it opened on 31 January 1978. The Stavanger City Bridge is 1,067 metres (3,501 ft) long, the main span is 185 metres (607 ft), and the maximum clearance to the sea is 26 metres (85 ft). The reinforced concrete bridge has 24 spans.
-Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel: this iconic hotel in the heart of the city has recently reopened after a complete renovation.
-Hotel Victoria: This waterfront hotel is situated in a Victorian-style building, dating back 1900.
-Comfort Hotel Square: this wood-paneled hotel located in the town centre opened in 2010.
-St Olav condominium: this modern area has a residential part of 163 appartments and also houses several stores and services
-Valbergtårnet: this is a former fire tower on Valberget in Stavanger , 26.66 meters high. The tower was built in the years 1850–1853 as a lookout tower for the city's guards . New fire alarm systems gradually made the guards redundant, and the last guard in the Valberg Tower ended in 1922. The tower is today listed and has a small guard museum open to the public.
NEW in v1.1: -Ullandhaugtårnet (Ullandhaug tower) is a telecommunications tower built in 1964. The tower rises 64 metres on a hill 135 m above sea level.
NEW in v1.1: -Deja Vu Skråtårnet is a leaning tower hosting a restaurant a with panoramic views of the sea in Jåttåvågen, located near the Viking FK stadium.
These mods are completed by a ships mod to cover the flat boats in the port. It uses only default models from the game and has no dependancy.

Thank you very much for updating the Stavanger area. Great work you've done here

Thanks a lot for great addon. I see Ullandhaug-tårnet is already mentioned, and I support that request. I really miss it as it is a really important landmark in the area, especially when approaching Sola airport from the north.

This is awesome! Thanks for putting in the effort to create those landmarks, the kids are having fun looking out for familiar buildings and pointing out all your models as we're flying over Stavanger.
Any chance you could have a go at Ullandhaugstårnet as well? We're practically flying right over that hill on the way from ENZV to Stavanger, and it just looks so odd without the tower there. As far as I'm concerned it does not have to be a super detailed 3d model, just having a simple representation there would do wonders for tying the whole area together.

Ah, good point, I'll make sure to add it in the next update!

Seems SU5 broke autogen in Stavanger sentrum with this mod.
SU5 broke everything else too, so why not this, right?
mv46 author
Does it concern an area in particular? I was working on an update this afternoon and didn’t notice anything in particular.

Sadly, i get an endless update loop during the sim start with this addon installed.

Ouch! All the mods included in the pack are independant. Did you manage to determine if it was caused by one of them in particular?

Super. This is what is needed. We do not need to read the registrating plates of the Lamborghini autside Reena. Do something to Sandnes as well, please.

Thank you for making this. Can't wait to see more POI's coming 😊

Thanks! Most of the historic comments are copied/pasted from wikipedia but it goes with the virtual tourism experience these mods aim at offering :)
