SVRS - Los Roques Airport in the Los Roques Archipelago in Venezuela (Airport Improvement)
The Archipelago of Los Roques is a federal agency that groups together a group of islands and keys of the Lesser Antilles belonging to Venezuela that have an estimated area of 40.61 km² and are located between the archipelago of Las Aves (to the west) and the island of La Orchila (to the east), 90 nautical miles north of the city of Caracas and which represents one of the main tourist attractions in the country, by the way, very expensive. It is part of the Francisco de Miranda Insular Territory, it is a national park and according to estimates in 2014 it had 3,100 permanent inhabitants. It has an approximate area of 221,120 hectares between maritime and terrestrial spaces and is considered the second largest marine park in Latin America. In addition, the archipelago has the largest coral reef in the Caribbean Sea.
Los Roques SVRS airport is located on the main island called Gran Roque, and has commercial operations through the airlines Conviasa (Cessna Grand Caravan C208B), Chapi Air (BN-2 Islander), Aerotuy-LTA (Dash-8) , Aerocaribe (LET 410 UPV) and Albatros Airlines. There are other operators, Charter-type, using Grand Caravans and Dornier 228 aircraft. One of the prominent operators of the recent past in the 90's was Aero-Ejecutivos, with its old and popular DC-3, very effective on this route. Common routes are flights from Caracas, Valencia and Higuerote. It takes about 35 minutes to get to Los Roques from the Maiquetía airport. The SVRS airport was recently remodeled with the construction of a complete new terminal that finished in September 2019. Interestingly, the control tower was left as originally built, mounted on a mobile lifting crane.
On a sad note, there have been several major accidents in Los Roques such as the one that cost the lives of several well-known Italian tourists traveling in a Czech-made LET-410 UPV, which crashed several minutes after taking off from the SVRS en route to Simón Bolívar Maiquetía International Airport.
SVRS has only one runway (07-25) on asphalt, 2,756 feet long. The allowed runway for takeoffs and landings is RWY07.
The airport has a VOR-DME station located within its limits (Ident: LRS; Freq: 113.10), which is also represented in this scenario and located just to the right of RWY07.
INSTALLATION:
- Unzip the file
- Put the content in your community folder (you should already know where it is, right?)
- Fly and be happy!
NOTE:
It is recommended to have the MSFS Premium version installed to ensure that all included objects appear in your sim. Other versions (Standard and Deluxe) will work, but some items may not appear.
DEPENDENCIES:
The following scenario library packages contain resources that were used to design this scenario. You MUST have them installed (look for the respective instructions provided in the links below) for a complete experience:

Thanks to all the developers for their work on these great scenery packs!
Last but not least, I would like to give a big thanks to Alberto Oliveira (aka oliveiralberto) for his excellent repaint of the Conviasa Cessna C208B which is shown in the included pictures. For those interested, this repaint can be downloaded here:

This airport is a must for all Venezuelans simmers around the world. Hope everyone downloads and enjoys the airport as much as I do! There are several good videos about Los Roques on YouTube, for those who are interested in gathering more information about this paradise in the Caribbean.

Hi, thanks!. You picked up the "other" add-on made for this airport, which is awesome, since they reproduced the main building as it is in real life in great detail. They are the people of "Roraima Group", very good friends too. Thanks anyway!. Good video

Thank you for your prompt attention! ... I do not have the way to send the photo, but the one you have on this page works. The third photo from left to right shows the container painted with white and orange squares on top of a scaffold. Here I only see the scaffolding but not the container. I keep updating the library.

I see now what's happening to you. This is really an antenna house for airport's instruments, and is available when you have the EDLP airport (Paderborn Lippstadt airport, from Aerosoft) installed in your sim. It's freeware, and available here:
https://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoft-airport-paderbornlippstadt-msfs-free.phtml
I think you need to have an account at SimMarket, otherwise you'd have to download it directly from the Aerosoft website (google it). Once you install EDLP into your community folder you'll have the object we're talking about and it will appear in SVRS.
What happens in reality, is that the antenna house is just an emulation of the control tower at SVRS, which is built over that lifting structure that used also to be on top a of a truck in the past.
Hope all is understood. Good luck.
Cheers

Bravo, EDPATINO !!! ... grateful for this noble scenary. I would ask you in which library is the orange and white box container that does not appear ... download and install all the libraries and another one that I have but I cannot see it. With that enthusiasm ... when you have the time and desire, you could do the Canaima and Ciudad Bolivar airports ... the Angel Falls. From what I see the mountains of the simulator do not do it justice. Thanks!

Thanks for your comments. Could you send me a picture of such orange and white box containers, which I cannot see either (PM). Thanks again!

Thanks, got that information already. It's strange, one of the two was updated last week by his developer. Next time they're available try to download them all (and the rest of the libraries available in this site), so that way you won't miss anyone in the future. Hopefully they were just taken out for an update, otherwise I'll not use them again in the upcoming projects.
Cheers, Ed
