This is an Eastern Air Lines livery, based on the ship that rests in the US National Air and Space Museum. Based on the texture set I made for FSX.
Seen here at Long Beach, CA.
Made to work with the recently imported DC-3 based on the FSX model.
To install:
1) Backup texture.5 folder from the texture sets with the freeware FSX-import DC-3
2) Copy paste the texture file and the thumbnail file into texture.5 folder.
That's it, no need to worry about json files or the rest.
Enjoy

Hi. Thanks for your note. I'd wait until the next DC-3 comes out (freeware with the SU11 update). My hunch is that a nice Buffalo livery will be done quickly.

Does this work with SU6? I'm not getting a thumbnail for aircraft selection. When I try to fly. it's just a mess of colors.

I Love anything FLORIDA!
I used to fly on Eastern from Toronto to FL from 1977 to 1990.
Thank-You for the excellent old timey livery! 😀

Thanks, very nice! Can you do that for more existing liveries? Maybe several Dutch liveries, for example DDA, KLM, Martinair, Dutch Gouvernment. . . .

Hello. Thank you. The liveries that were done for the default DC-3 in FSX should be easy to port over, using the same technique I suggested here. I developed this FSX livery, which is why it was easy to bring over. I don't have permission with the other liveries. However, you can download them from the internet, then take the files and make sure that they are DDS files. If so, backup texture.4 (or one of the others) and replace the texture files and you should have what you want. Sorry I can't re-purpose other's work. But you can do what I've suggested for your personal use.
