Changes the flightmodel.cfg for the JF Hawk T1 to make the aircraft more enjoyable to fly. Also works with the T45 from IndiaFoxtEcho.
Hawk T1:
-Eliminates the shaking or "spring" effect of the elevators and rudders.
-Limits the aircraft to 8-9 G's.
-Increased the Elevator MOI. ( Moment of Inertia )
-Adjusted rudder and elevator strength.
-Adjusts the rollrate of the Aircraft. Also limits the responsiveness at high speeds.
-Locks gear above 250kts.
T45 Goshawk:
Same as the above but there are two more files i put in for the T45.
Cameras.cfg: To readjust the camera position for the new flightmodel.cfg.
Cockpit.cfg: To give the T45 the same external HUD as the T1.
To replace the cfgs go to your Community Folder, lokate your aircraft ( justflight-aircraft-hawk-t1 or indiafoxtecho-aircraft-t45c-goshawk ), SimObjects, Aircraft, T1 or T45, simply overwrite the cfgs. I'd recomment backing the old ones up. Just in case.

Could you change the rate the nosewheel steering is effected on the ground, the rate the aircraft turns is the only thing un realistic about the changes.
Other than that I feel just flight need to take note of these changes. no aircraft should bob and bounce like the standard flight model does.

how do you install?

problem is the Nav lights are now not on their correct position, they are all Infront of the wings by the nose of the jet. How can adjust the NAV lights positions to their correct location?

After several months of google searches about how to remove that terrible shaking up and down on the T45 when in autopilot and Alt hold. This mod finally did fix the shaking, but now my HUD display is not center like before, the Hud now too up, cant read it. another problem is the Nav lights are now not on their correct position, they are all Infront of the wings by the nose of the jet. How can adjust the NAV lights positions to their correct location?

Good work. However for T45, I was only able to find the cfg files for Cameras and Cockpit but not the one for Flightmodel. What should I do?

should be in the same location called flight_model

Well I liked it, now i'ts completely smooth with my setup, but yes maybe it could roll a bit quicker. Thanks! 😊

i think i need to rethink my approach here. as this fm is too strict. i worked on it more and adjusted the roll rate. most of the stuff should stay as it is despite smaller changes in the next update. + fixed contact points for the t45

Im not sure this is necessary for a £35 addon, JF will've got the flight model correct themselves.

im not aiming for high realism. just for a in my opinion more enjoyable experience. i have noticed that in msfs2020 jets behave strangely stability wise so i try my best to combat that. but i doubt the real hawk can pull 18g's.

It might be an idea to show what .cfg file to save and replace with your .cfg I can not find the same matching .cfg file. I am not sure which to replace so I will not use this until it is clear.

"Community\justflight-aircraft-hawk-t1\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_Hawk_T1" and in this folder if you scroll down a bit you find the cfgs you need to replace. for the t1 you only need to replace the flightmodel.

Wouldn't recommend, almost completely eliminates all roll rate.

at what airspeed do you fly the hawk ?

Archer374
does that mean you are using the same flight model for the Hawk and the Goshawk?
Handsome_Huber author
yeah. i focused on the t1 and tested it for the t45 after and it worked rather well so i included it. but it needed some adjustments thats why i put the cameras.cfg and cockpit.cfg in there.
