Dornier UH-1D Heer 73+24 - Livery 1.0
This package includes a livery for a German Army (Heer) Dornier UH-1D for Toag's cool UH-1H freeware helicopter.
This livery has been used during the last years of service for many Army Hueys in Germany.
All German Hueys were built at Dornier Flugzeugwerke in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich and were thus designated UH-1D. They are basically identical to the UH-1H. Incidentally in the U.S. there also was an older variant called the Bell UH-1D, but they are not related. Most of those were upgraded to UH-1H status.
Today the Huey is no longer in service with the German armed forces. The last one was retired in 2020.
As a base for this livery I used the German Luftwaffe SAR livery that comes with the helicopter. For that I completely reworked the overlap of the camo between the segments of the livery. Now they line up much better.
Known issue.
- There are a few places - most notably two small triangular spaces below the windscreen that cannot be painted. I couldn't find any way to correct this.
- the camo is not 100% accurate and it's not meant to be.
- the real Chopper has the aircraft's ID (3/24) painted on the nose. Unfortunately I couldn't get that to work.

Hat Dornier da was eigenes gebastelt?
