Kodiak Municipal Airport (PAKD) is a city-owned public-use airport located two nautical miles northeast of the central business district of Kodiak, on Kodiak Island, Alaska. The airport has a single runway designated 2/20 with a 2,475 by 40 ft (754 x 12 m) asphalt and gravel surface. Kodiak Municipal Airport is located directly adjacent to Lilly Lake Seaplane Base (9Z3).
I have done my best to remain faithful to the real world layout of Kodiak Municipal Airport, while also adding a few extra touches such as a hangar start and fuel station for the Bush Divers VA.
Parking Guide:
- Parking 1: Hangar
- Parking 2: Hangar
- Parking 3: Grass
- Parking 4-6: Transient parking ramp
This airport was created to be compatible with Orbx's NA Alaska Mesh, but it should work with Asobo's updated Alaska Mesh introduced in World Update 9.
You will need to install the libraries listed as dependencies if you wish to see the airport with all of its objects/decorative clutter.
Kodiak Municipal Airport serves as the Kodiak Island hub for the Bush Divers. We are a bush flying community and free virtual airline platform hosting weekly fly-in events. Join us at BushDivers.com and on Discord.
Thank you to colinj for sharing your asset library and allowing inclusion in scenery projects.

I am having fun with the mods in Alaska, and I noticed that if I have the PAKD mod installed, Lilly Lake turns into a static image of the water (looks like tar or bitumen), with the real animated water hiding under it (it's at least flat with the seaplane base, but without it, it's very bumpy as well). I don't have the ORBX mesh. Is there any fix for this?

What a huge improvement over the default area. Also being able to start cold/dark on the seaplane base is really great. Thank you so much for this

Hi TBM940,
Love your mods, but having a problem with this one. I am getting pink textures on a few buildings around the airport. I have downloaded both dependencies as well as colinj's library but they are still there. Can you tell me if these buildings are from a specific library or if they are from basegame so I can try to repair?

Hello TBM940,
Can you explain what is the advantage of using Orbx's NA Alaska Mesh, instead of the default? From the screenshots comparisons at the time it came out, I could really not see much difference in meshdetail.
And thank you for again such a beautifull airfield!
Kind regards
Bram

While it's true that the Orbx mesh isn't a massive upgrade from the default mesh, the increased detail is very noticeable in mountainous and coastal areas. With the Orbx mesh installed also I see far fewer terrain "pop ins" and shifting of the mesh. It includes a decent port of their PAJN scenery as well.
