This folder contains a repaint for the Junkers Ju-52/3m for MSFS2020. It shows JU-52 F-BBYK of Transports Aérien Intercontinentaux, 1947. This aircraft was built after the war as Amiot AAC-1 Toucan no 231. It flew with TAI until 6 January 1947. It was damaged beyond repair after it flew into the snowy mountain slope of Mont Ventoux at a height of about 1800 m. The transport plane operated on a cargo flight from Casablanca, Morocco to Lyon, France, with en route stops at Oran, Algeria and Marseille. The flight departed Marseille at 13:40. Weather along the route was poor with low clouds at 200 m and a wind that differed in direction and speed to the wind that had been forecast. The aircraft hit with its undercarriage the south slope of Mt Ventoux located northeast of Carpentras, and came to rest in 1,5 meter of snow. The crew was slightly injured and rescued a day later while the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. It is reported that the aircraft was flying at the altitude of 1,800 meters at the time of the accident (Mt Ventoux is 1,911 meters high) and the pilot was probably following a wrong corridor.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the original textures by Asobo. I used the door fix by GulKalle to get rid of the mirrored textures.
