THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this beautiful scenery! I really do not want to criticize it, but would it be possible to light it a bit more up? Because it appears quite dark.

Does this play nicely with ORBX UK Central?
FlyingTheston author
I dont see why it wouldn't, I don't think anything in Orbx UK Central has anything to do with Birmingham

Hi, Just downloaded the latest version, removed the old one, installed it and there 2 BT towers in the city centre.
All else seems OK

thanks, I'll take a look. it must be the photogrammetry tower loading in as well as my custom photogrammetry model

Excitedly installed this again last night, got a CTD with the new graphics card error message in SU10 when spawning into BHX (Maccosim). Removed the add on and MSFS then spawned fine. Still seem to be getting an issue - is anyone else? Not sure if it’s conflicting, would seem not but was using the PMDG 738 and Maccosim.

its working fine for me, I also have the maccosim EGBB airport installed too

Getting CTD's with this when spawning into Birmingham, stops when I remove this addon. Any chance you could take a look?

City looks great but for me it makes St Andrews completely vanish (becomes an empty car park). Not sure about the other landmarks as uninstalled after not being able to get it to work. Really hope for a fix as this is so well done. Also not discounting the fact that it may just be another bug at my end.

I notice this isn't finished - yet - not until Spaghetti Junction is included, anyway!

Yeah i suppose the one included in the bing photogrammetry is a bit too simplified :)

Famous landmarks which Asobo omitted altogether like Fort Dunlop are included, Edgbaston Cricket Ground no longer looks like a giant's stepped on its southern half, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is now a hospital rather than the 20 storey mega-hotel monstrosity which previously loomed over the entire area ruining the view, and Birmingham University and its iconic tower are also much improved compared with their naff autogen predecessors (if slightly marred by the sim insisting on plonking a couple of imaginary blue-roofed buildings down on the university's astroturf pitches immediately south of the area fixed by FlyingTheston).
There are even improvements to the (frankly terrible) edges of Asobo's photogrammetry area, with fixes for some buildings which were abruptly cut in half along the border. Overall then, highly recommended! (especially in combination with the same author's sceneries covering the NEC and the area around Birmingham airport).

If the dev happens to see this and you're still updating the scenery, is there any chance you could take a look at the area immediately around the cathedral? The cathedral itself is slightly offset from the ground texture and partially sunk into the ground, as are some adjacent buildings (some of which also appear to be duplicated e.g. the one facing the opposite end of the cathedral to its tower).
If there's anything you can do to fix the weird portals to another dimension in Edgbaston Reservoir (the body of water on your left if you set departure to the original Birmingham POI) then that would also be very much appreciated! (the issue has nothing to do with your scenery BTW, but was introduced by Asobo with World Update 3).

Using this with photogrammetry off is the best option for me. With your stuff and the new Asobo objects, it is the best hybrid solution I have found. Photogrammetry on causes a slideshow with melted buildings for me, so this is a great alternative!
