Fly the historic routes of Imperial Airways.
Imperial Airways was the early British commercial long range airline, operating from 1924 to 1939 and principally serving the British Empire routes to South Africa, India and the Far East, including Australia, Malaya and Hong Kong.
This Bushtrip approximently follows the the original route from London to the hub of Alexandria, Egypt. Leaving London you will fly from Heathrow, but the airline flew from Croydon which no long exists. I usually chose the largest airport of a destination city, disregarding historical accuracy. An example is that you will fly into Orly and not LeBourget when you get to Paris.
Another inaccuracy is you will be flying the Junker's JU-52 from Microsoft. Imperial Airways did not fly the German made JU-52. I chose the Junkers to make use of older radio navigational equipment in the aircraft. You will notice that the navlog guideing your way only gives you VOR frequancies. It will be your job to figure out the the radios and compasses, and make your way to Alexandria, where in other installments, we will go to South Africa and the Far East. You are able to modify your weather to your liking and talk to ATC.
Bushtrip made with Bush Mission Generator.
