The Arenberg Monastery is the mother house of the Arenberg Dominicans, sisters of St. Catherine of Siena in the Order of St. Dominic. According to their own statements, the nuns want to “shape their everyday life in the community out of the power of the gospel” and be open to people who are looking for peace and quiet. Therefore, the monastery in the Koblenz district and place of pilgrimage Arenberg includes a guest house and a wide range of educational opportunities. Since 2002, the Arenberg Monastery and the place of pilgrimage, as the northernmost point, have been part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site.
