Note: Previous Water exclusions have failed to function starting with the release of SU12 (March 2023); this version needs an update to properly function with World Update XIII.
This mod applies exclusion polygons to areas covered in water in order to uncover them. It also removes erroneously placed trees around water areas. No scenery objects were added.
This mod fixes the following issues to the default scenery located around Norfolk, Virginia, USA. It primarily covers the coastal area as well as the Elizabeth River down through Veterans Bridge.
I do not use other freeware or payware in the area, so I don't know if this conflicts with other third party mods.
V1.0 Release notes, fixes the following areas:
- Revived sunken roads and bridges throughout
- Restored visibility of the Ocean View Fishing Pier, as well as jetties along Ocean View Beach
- Restored visibility of various larger docks, boats, piers, and pontoons at Willoughby Bay, Little Creek, Fishermans Cove, Little Creek Cove, Desert Cove, Norfolk Naval Station Piers, Virginia Port Authority, Ocean Yacht Marina, Mariana near Fort Monroe, and areas all along the Elizabeth River (Gosport Creek, Lower Reach, Middle Reach).
- Revived part of Sea Gull Pier, Hampton Road Beltway, bridges across Mill Creek and Hampton River
- Uncovered sunken boats and all kinds of junk throughout the Elizabeth River
- Basically everywhere you see RED in the screenshot, I uncovered water or removed vegetation
- Note, some of the smaller piers are still covered in water; I’ll take care of those as I go in later releases, there are too many!

Great job! Finally my home airport area doesn't look like a hurricane disaster. Now I can enjoy flying the 152 and the H145 in the area.

Any chance of turning your water fixes into one mega pack?

Is this mod/fix compatible with the "US Navy - Norfolk VA V2.2" add-on https://flightsim.to/file/1196/us-navy-norfolk-va

Although it wasn’t designed around it, it will work. There may be some extra uncovered 2D boats or dock edges underneath or around the 3rd party objects.
I can address in a later version
