Bell Helicopter in Mirabel, an off-island suburb of Montreal, has a facility as well as runways and pads to test their commercial helicopters.
Yet you can use this scenery to practice flying your favorite helicopter addon :)
A big thank you to:
Bluecheez for their help and tests to debug the issues I faced during my work on this update:
https://flightsim.to/profile/Bluecheez/uploads
Technical Information:
https://skyvector.com/airport/CSW5/Montreal-Bell-Heliport
This Addon Features:
- Custom made 3D Infrastructure for the company’s building and manufacture.
- The company’s test area: Runways, taxiways, helipads, etc.
What's new in this update:
- All helipads have now starting position for helicopters
- Made the parking area busier with more cars (more employees returned to the office :P)
- Fences are added around the facility
- Flags are animated now
- Add a small infrastructure near the edge of the (Cars) parking area
- Filled the empty spots in nearby forests with vegetation
- Made some adjustments here and there to the ground layouts
- Little tweaks here and there...
Limitations:
- I could not find any information about any lighting system for the runways and/or helipads. According to Skyvector, the runways are for day use only.
- Some textures on the 3D facility could look low res, distorted or misaligned, I will fix this in the future update(s).
- The static helicopter on a pedestal near the entrance of the company is low poly model. I could not find a better one that I can use as a static model.
- Don’t use the flags near the company’s entrance as a reference to the wind speed or direction. In this version, the flags animation is a loop and does not react to the wind...
Possible improvements in the next update/version:
- Add some warning lights on the control tower over the facility and on the roof Antennas
- Add more life (moving vehicles, ramp workers etc).
- Fix and improve texture resolution and mapping.
- Replace the super low poly 3D model of the static helicopter at the entrance of the company (3D Warehouse Model by Paradox) with a better model.
Installation:
Simply drop the "Bell Helicopter Mirabel CSW5" folder in your community folder (or if you use AddonLinker, place it in your favorite folder and link it...)
Starting a flight at Bell Helicopter in Mirabel
Simply search for CSW5 in the World Map of MSFS and select the starting position (Runways 06/24 R or L).
Do you like to improve this addon?
I created this addon during my limited free time and with my basic 3D modeling skills. If you think you can improve this addon while keeping it freeware of course, please feel free to contact me.
IMPORTANT
This is a 100% freeware addon. You must not include this addon or any part of it in commercial addons.
You must not decompile the BGL or the 3D model and modify it to distribute it without my written approval.
If you wish to use this landmark / model in a freeware scenery, feel free to contact me through flightsim.to.

Upvoting to have this updated now that heliports are supported in SU11! Delighted to see the Bell factory and fly "ferries" from there. SVP update soon! Merci!

Thanks so much for this, ive been looking for this exact building for a long time

Very good start. It is so rare to find models for the Quebec province. I pass a lot of time in front of this building. If I may give you some comments, there is a few things you could improve. The roofs will benefit from a higher resolution. The front of the building is too dark, probably because of the window texturing. More cars in the parking will be nice. If possible, a few yellow doors could be open. This is if you want to keep improving it. Merci !

Thanks for the feedback. I will certainly try to improve all these details hopefully after Sim Update 9 (SU9). The Dev Mode in SU8 is unstable and my 3D modeling skills are basic (I use Sketchup)
I relied on photos I found here and there online although me too I pass once in a while near the company as I drive north on the 15 :)
In fact the back of the building is improvised as I have no idea what the façade looks like.
