Beechcraft Bonanza G36TN
Modification of the default Beechcraft Bonanza G36, made by Arantis Aviation.
The Mod enhances the default Bonanza G36 and converts it to a Turbo Normalized version.
Thanks to mrmercury for his help.
Enhancements:
==================================
- Landing & Taxi lights enhancements
- Fixed right wheel lateral offset
- Increased Propeller transparency
- Engine enhancements
- Flight Model enhancements
- Auto Pilot settings improvement
- MFD Engine Panel enhancement
Avionics:
==================================
The Mod is compatible with Working Title G1000 NXi. However it uses an enhanced default panel.xml instead of WT's panel.
Known Issues:
==================================
- Fuel flow on idle RPM is too low. (Not enough default SFC parameters to be able to tune it).
Notes:
==================================
- Tuning made on Standard Day SL 15° OAT with no wind.
- Turbine does not increase Manifold Pressure along with RPM and Fuel Flow, rather it keeps it stable at ~29.6 IN.HG from SL up to 20000 FT (Full Throttle).
- Turbine logic does not simulate real Turbonormalized conversions like Tornado Alley's.
- Climb keeping Mixture Rich at ~25 GPH, Lean to ~17 GPH for Cruise.
- For economy Cruise decrease throttle to 75% or less.
- Pitch trim for Takeoff with pilot/copilot: Set to 4°. With full load: Set to 2°.
- If the engine don't startup especially during hot days, advance some throttle.
- Max TIT Temperature: 1000°C. Red limit at 950°C.
- Climb: SL 15° OAT No Wind:
2700 RPM 100 KIAS ~25 GPH RICH Full Throttle (110 KIAS on higher altitudes)
2500 RPM 100 KIAS ~23 GPH RICH Full Throttle (110 KIAS on higher altitudes)
On hot days expect lower performance and Fuel Flow. On cold days adjust Mixture to ~25 GPH for 2700 RPM or ~23 GPH for 2500 RPM.
- Cruise performance: SL 15° OAT No Wind:
12000 FT 2500 RPM 200 KTAS 17 GPH LEAN
20000 FT 2500 RPM 220 KTAS 17 GPH LEAN
Install:
==================================
To install, extract the “arantisaviation-aircraft-bonanza-g36tn” folder of the zip file into your MSFS_2020 "Community" folder.
Update:
==================================
Delete the old “arantisaviation-aircraft-bonanza-g36tn” folder from within your "Community" folder and copy the new one.
Unistall:
==================================
Simply remove the “arantisaviation-aircraft-bonanza-g36tn” folder from within your "Community" folder.
From v1.0.8 the Mod is a separate aircraft in Menu. You can have both the G36TN Mod and the default aircraft or any other mods.

Procedure wise, still open cowl flaps on Climb and Descent? I imagine so.

Very nice mod!
Since the update the roll rate seems to be very low. I saw something in the changelog does that have anything to do with it?

The autopilot NAV/HDG tracking is not working after update on mine, it just keeps doing S-turns trying to track the heading or nav.

Very cool!! Love the additional power at higher flight levels. Just what the G36 needed.... Any possibility of an SR22T mod? That's another Asobo model primed and ready for a turbo normalized option.

Sorry, but I don't have the MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe Edition

Wonderful aircraft! I'm trying to add liveries, but no success. Any suggestions?
arantisair author
To install a livery:
Please note that if you want the same livery for both the default and the G36TN Mod you need to duplicate the livery and make the changes to one livery folder. You can rename the root livery folder to "livery-g36-House red stripes-TN" e.g.
Please see the images in User Gallery.

Please:
Other than that I don't know why your MSFS installation could not see the Mod.
I uploaded a screenshot from MSFS in User Gallery showing v1.0.6 in SU10 working fine.

By any chance is this mod compatible with SU10?
arantisair author
V1.0.6 is only compatible with SU10.
It is not compatible with SU9 due to changes made in exterior model by Asobo.

Hi Thanks for this mod. Question: I'm not sure what to understand from the following. Is this "real world" behavior or a best approximation? "Turbine does not increase Manifold Pressure along with RPM and Fuel Flow, rather it keeps it stable at 29.6 IN.HG from SL up to 20000 FT (Full Throttle)"

This Turbonormalized mod is a simplified version of the real one. Real Bonanzas having e.g. a Tornado Alley conversion working a little different. The turbine(s) boosts more power even from Takeoff.
Watch this G36TN video: https://youtu.be/dlyxPvQRHvs
At 1500ft altitude it boost MP above 30 IN.HG, RPM to 2750 and FuelFlow to ~37GPH.
This boost allows a better Takeoff and Climb performance, so these conversions get certified from FAA to carry about 350-400lbs more payload.
This make sense in real life but not so much in sim and since I don't have any specs about the real conversion I decided to make a more simplified Turbonormalized conversion.
The Mod gives better Climb (at higher altitudes) and Cruise performance with a higher FF ~25GPH (Climb) ~17GPH (Cruise) but has the same Takeoff performance as the Normal Aspirated G36. And of course you carry the same payload.
The problem with MSFS2020 is fuel flow (especially at idle RPM) and aux fuel pump logic.
With current formulas and default templates you cannot fine tune piston aircrafts.
The only way is by writing custom code using custom vars and formulas.
I'm not a real pilot neither a developer, just a simmer, so unfortunately I can't do much more to simulate the aircraft more accurately.
I made this Mod to fly myself and I'm simply sharing it.

Thanks. A worthy addition to the aircraft mod list.
