Cedar Point is a 364-acre amusement park located on a Lake Erie peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio. Opened in 1870, it is considered the second-oldest operating amusement park in the United States. Known as "America's Roller Coast," the park features a world-record 71 rides, including 17 roller coasters – the second-most in the world. [Wikipedia]

Features (version 2.5)
- Full recreation of Cedar Point amusement park and immediate surroundings (inc. causeway, marina, Hotel Breakers, Cedar Point Shores waterpark). This package contains a mix of hand-crafted and photogrammetry models; as of version 2.0 all roller coasters and large rides are fully hand-modeled and textured, along with many buildings (see below); the remainder are cleaned up and color corrected versions of existing Google photogrammetry models.
- LOD models used throughout
- Some terraforming to restore the breakwater around the marina as well as the long jetty on the far NW end of the peninsula. Also includes extensive shoreline corrections along the Cedar Point peninsula and around Sandusky Bay, to correctly show piers, marinas, breakwater/jetties, etc.
- Retouched tree placement throughout
- Hand-placed boats in the marina (optionally included as a separate package in this download), using MSFS-native static models.
- Accurate aircraft warning beacons and strobes on Millennium Force, Top Thrill 2, Valravn, Windseeker, and Power Tower. Customized night lighting for many coasters and rides.
- Park-wide night lighting enhancements.
- Removed nearby KSKY airport facilities to match updated satellite imagery, and added basic handcrafted buildings for new sports park on site.
New in version 2.5
- Completely new model for Top Thrill 2, matching its updated paint scheme and 2024 modifications. The new 420-foot rear spike is fitted with accurate aircraft warning lights. (on a personal note, this was the first coaster I ever hand modeled all the way back in 2020, much more primitively back then of course, so this was an especially fun update)
- Thoroughly revamped models for Millennium Force, Rougarou, Raptor, Gatekeeper, Corkscrew, Valravn, and Maverick.
- Texturing/shading improvements (incorporating smooth shading as applicable) and material property updates throughout
- Various minor model fixes and exclusion/vegetation polygon updates
- Fixed potential ModelLib conflict for Sandusky Sportspark package
- All packages recompiled with the most recent SDK
New in version 2.1
- Greatly expanded the scope of water corrections in the vicinity of the park now that water polygons are back to working under WU13. Uncovered marinas, piers, and other water features, and fixed various shorelines and ponds along Sandusky Bay.
New in version 2.0
- All wooden-structure roller coasters (Steel Vengeance, Gemini, Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride) are now hand modeled.
- All Google 3D models replaced with handmade models for the entrance/midway and marina areas. At this point, all buildings in the front half of the park (i.e. from the park entrance up to Corkscrew) are hand modeled, along with the Hotel Breakers and Lakeside Pavilion areas.
- Newly modeled areas: parking entrance plaza, causeway bridges, Sandusky-side entrance sign, breakwater lighthouse
- Removed Wicked Twister roller coaster (RIP).
- Many flat rides are now hand modeled.
- Model/texturing improvements and material property updates throughout
- All packages recompiled with the most recent SDK.

Thank you for creating this scenery.
I live 15 minutes from the park and have enjoyed a number of evening flights around the area with my friend in his airplane.

As an aside, I'm sure you probably already know, but as of July 1, 2024, it will no longer be known as Cedar Point but as Six Flags Entertainment Corporation as they have merged. It's the end of an era, but hopefully not the end of fun!

Very well done! Thank you. This version is much improved over the one that I had from 3 years ago.

Thanks so much! Of the scenery packages I've made this is probably my sentimental favorite.

You could be possibly causing CTD's for people. You should consider renaming or placing in unique paths your 2 modellib.bgl and other files. my bet is there are other files out there called sportscenter, but maybe not at that exact path. "scenery\mycompany" is not a unique path, as many developers, like you, don't bother to rename the directory. You should rename that.
But thanks for the work! I know Asobo isn't clear about how to name things so conflicts don't occur.

Good catch, thanks (though tbf I haven't yet heard of anyone actually getting crashes with this scenery from modellib conflicts). The main Cedar Point package was fixed for that issue several updates ago, but I guess I never did the same for the other two parts. I'll have to address that.
If anyone is getting CTDs in the interim, suggest they remove those two packages.

Looks great. Thank you. Is there a reason you didn't place cars in the car parks?
TheWhiteArcades author
Thanks!
No specific reason for not placing cars, more that I've been focusing my efforts toward the modeling side of things. I could certainly see adding them at some point.

I bet this was a fun scenery to make?
TheWhiteArcades author
They all are, to be honest. When I first started this one a couple weeks after MSFS came out, I didn't know the first thing about modeling, so it's been an interesting learning experience with each new scenery I do.
Gonna be getting back into this one pretty soon, BTW, for some model updates (and some new hand models).

Any chance to delete Wicked Twister ? It's no longer 😞
TheWhiteArcades author
I'll probably remove WT as part of the next update, along with updating some of the models. What a bummer though, really enjoyed that ride.

Do you also use Planet Coaster?
TheWhiteArcades author
I never got into it as much as RCT/RCT2, to be honest. Just never found the gameplay as engaging, and I have NoLimits if I really want to go wild designing a detailed coaster.

Great work thank you so much. Any chance of KPCW?

I just installed and checked it out for myself. Excellent work! Spot on accuracy. Thank you for doing this.

Very nice! Mad skills! I grew up in Port Clinton and used to visit many times in the 70s and 80s.

Hey, thanks so much! Hoping to make some more updates on this one pretty soon, properly model all the wood coasters among other improvements.
