This addon changes the ICAO type designator from "DC-3" to the correct "DC3", allowing the live traffic system to match the aircraft to any real-life DC-3 flights that it detects, while also enabling the use of pre-existing strings in the localization files that allow the text-to-speech ATC and pilot voices to correctly refer to the aircaft as a "Douglas DC-3".
In addition, this addon changes the UI model name for the classic version of the DC-3 from "DC-3 - classic" to simply "DC-3". While the game is somewhat able to handle individual liveries for one aircraft having a different model names, it is not really supported in full, so even if you were to fly the retrofitted DC-3, which is listed as "DC-3 - retrofit", it would still show up in the logbook as "DC-3 - classic" as it always uses the first model name in the list. As such, I elected to change it to simply "DC-3", as it covers both versions of the plane, and will allow the aircraft to show up as a "DC-3" instead of "DC-3 - classic" in your list of aircraft, since that listing covers both versions. The categorization of the aircraft has also been changed from Propeller to Airliner.
Finally, I made some minor tweaks to the loading tips, adding some instances of punctuation, and fixing one that was not displaying fully, as well as changing the default pilot to "Pilot_Female_Uniform" so that the default pilot and co-pilot would be different characters. (Originally, they were both "Pilot_Male_Uniform".) I also corrected some other ICAO information, but I'm not sure the game actually uses all of that anywhere.
Extract the "OboeShoes_DC3Fix" folder into your community folder to install.
(Note: Currently, the non-English localization files for the DC-3 appear to contain a number of mismatched strings. I will monitor official updates to these and will attempt to update this addon accordingly.)

Thanks for the heads up, I've been planning to fix up some more of the 40th anniversary aircraft, and have been looking through the cfgs and localization files. This should be helpful in checking if I've missed anything.
