From Wings on Film Wiki:
Built in 1942, by Douglas at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA, this aircraft was taken on charge with the United States Army Air Force as 42-93423 on 17 May 1944, and then transfered to the Royal Canadian Air Force as KG602 on 25 May,[1] and designated a Dakota III. It was subsequently assigned to the Canadian Armed Forces as 12932, becoming a CC-129.
On 8 December 1994 it was acquired by Buffalo Airways Ltd, Hay River, NT as C-GPNR, with the civil registration not being officially assigned until 23 May 1996.
This livery was created by our passion for the DC-3/C-47 and the kinship we have with Buffalo Airways in Yellowknife, NWT. If you feel the same passion, stop by Buffalo Airways Virtual and check out what we have to offer. Here is a link to our Facebook page to see what else we're up to: Facebook - Buffalo Airways Virtual
And, of course, you will all want to follow Mikey McBryan on his Facebook page to keep up with the real Buffalo Airways: MikeyMcBryan on Facebook
Installation instructions for the files contained herein. Download the .zip file to a location of your choice on your computer. (My default is the 'downloads' folder). Extract the main file from the downloaded .zip file. Inside that file you will find livery files. Both of these files need to be pasted into your community folder. Once completed, providing you have the DC-3 properly installed, you will see the two liveries in your hangar.
This is version 1.0 - There is still some exterior texturing to complete as well as updating the interior to C-GPNR.
Version 1.0.1 - First update. November 12, 2022 - Removed reference to my panel file. Created a conflict with instruments. I have changed the atc-id info in the aircraft.cfg to read "." thus leaving only a dot on the tail as opposed to Asobo's ASXGS. Remember to clear the tail number from the 'CUSTOMIZATION' menu in your flight sim. What ever you have typed in there will show on the tail.
Version 1.0.2 - November 12, 2022 - Reinstalled panel file. Corrected model file to represent Classic version. Dot on tail is gone. Made minor adjustement to exterior texture.
Version 1.1 - November 14, 2022 - Corrected more exterior textures (more still to do). The big update is the addition of a retro version of this livery. Now you can have your GPS and Steam gauges too!
Version 1.1.1 - November 15, 2022 - Finalized exterior textures. Will be working on interior textures over the next week.
Version 1.1.2 - November 16, 2022 - There has been a lot of chatter about the confusion with the word Retro in the name of the liveries. I have changed the naming convention of this livery to read "Buffalo Airways C-GPNR Classic" and "Buffalo Airways C-GPNR GPS". Simple.
Version 1.1.3 - January 22, 2023 - Updated Model Folder to be compatible with Duckworks DC-3 Mod - get it here: https://flightsim.to/file/43893/duckworks-dc-3-improvement-mod
Small update February 1, 2023 - I was informed by "goffers" that I had made a slight error in the name of the file in the last update. I had transposed some letters in the registration. Only download file name, not the install files. So, there is really no need to do anything if you have downloaded Version 1.1.3. For those that haven't downloaded the latest version yet, the file name is now correct. Thank you goffers!

Which model has this livery been made for please? I only have the default Asobo version and if I use Duckworths Mod together with this livery my program crashes at startup. Thankyou.

Hi. Thanks for making this available. Love Buffalo Airways and love flying their airplanes. Really appreciate your work. Superb Livery. 😊

Well done Sir Shaw.....You split the Classic from the retro.great!!.. (Although there is a Retro version (namely because some can only use autopilot or require a gps to navigate.. or find their way), it was not a part of the this vintage aircraft!. (Any vintage classic would be equipped with only analogue (steam gauges) because there was no retro first of GPS or AP possible in those days..and to navigate pilots used dead reckoning, beacons etc. and not a gps module!). Thanks for this split version.. where the classic stays as classic! (And for those who need, have the retro version!)

please make a cargo version with GPS

Give me time. I will make every version. Even though C-GPNR is a passenger plane, because we play with a simulator, I can make it anything I want (as long as a model is available).

Where is the hidden switch located to play "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz on loop?
Canuckshaw author
I don't know. Apparently, it's hidden.

It's me again. I am sure you are busy. Yet would you or could you work a livery for the D day aircrafts are green with white and black lines on the air frame as well as wings?
Canuckshaw author
Hey, me again! I am busy, but I will be completing the entire series of liveries from last to first of Plane Savers CF-DTD. Which will include the D-Day livery. For a sneak peak, head to SimOuthouse and search for my CF-DTD livery in P3D Civilian Liveries. It's the most downloaded livery in that category on SimOuthouse. I'm sure it will get similar interest here.

Hello my friend. I was wounded pretty bad overseas where I served in the Army Infantry. Broken leg, broken pelvis, collapsed one lung and ruptured both ear drums. Aside from that I was not hurt bad (LOL)
I am slowly recovering from a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) "sustained at the same time as the other wounds"
Forgive me I shall get to the point. As a result of the TBI, I am slowly recovering and have overcome MOST cognitive issues. Thank GOD for Flightsim.to. But more importantly, thank GOD for folks like you. It is amazing what you guys can do.
Especially considering my IT skills are akin to a monkey trying to fuck a football.
On top of everything, you submit your works at ZERO cost to the user...
I am able to do brain exercises using MSFS 2020.
I have no choice but to hand fly all MSFS 2020's aircraft. I am unable to develop a flight plan as of now. I am hopeful I will will one day soon be able to develop a flight plane
A thank you is not enough my friend. But my thanks comes from the deepest parts of my heart....

Thanks for adding the retro version! Very fitting for Buffalo given they flew into the modern era with these.

Excellent job! But JDs PMSGTN750 Mod doesn't work with this livery. It's problem from the Mod or from the livery? Thanks for your job!

Can't speak to third party mods. I've never tried his GTN750.
