This pack contains a collection of 7 liveries of various DC-3's and licence-built Li-2's flown in the former Czechoslovakia. These include:
OK-XDM: This registration is, in fact, fictional. The real airframe was imported from the US as N143J and put into the collection of Kbely Aviation Museum in Prague. In late 1990's, it has been restored, painted in the colors of Czechoslovak Airlines (ČSA) from the 1950's, and displayed at of LKPR Václav Havel Airport to commemorate the 80th anniversary of ČSA. In 2016, it was moved back to Kbely, where it was repainted to Air Force green, and put on display with the designation D-21. Even if this livery has never actually tasted flight, now she can, at least in the virtual skies of MSFS!
OK-GAC: Simpler ČSA livery, used on Soviet-built Li-2 refitted to passenger service, flown mostly on short, local lines.
OK-AIF: DC-3 flown by Československá Letecká Společnost (Czechoslovak Aviation Company), an airline functioning between 1927 and 1939.
OK-BYQ: Li-2 used by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Currently on display at LZDB Dubnica nad Váhom. The registration saw further use with the ministry, first as Tu-134 airliner, and currently as Bell 412 helicopter of the Czech Police.
D-21: Military cargo version. The original airframe crashed in 1952 when approaching LKTB Brno - Tuřany, killing all 5 aboard. In 2016, the aforementioned OK-XDM has been repainted into this livery an can be seen on display at the Kbely Aviation Museum (LKKB) in Prague.
2804: Another military transport, this time a Li-2 with newer registration number.
2108: One of the first Li-2's delivered. After being rebuilt from military cargo version, it served with 2nd State Air Defence Corps as VIP transport for the commanding staff.
Despite my best efforts, these liveries are by no means perfect. Partially because reference materials are sometimes hard to find (or I am just really bad at finding them), partly because the real planes were several variants of DC-3's and Li-2's, slightly different from what we have in MSFS, partly because some oddities of the 3D model don't allow to replicate the liveries exactly, and mostly because I am not all that good. But hey, it's a honest work.
It is meant to be used with the DC-3 Enhanced pack, available on the marketplace for free. Only the external textures are included, all internal textures, cockpit decals etc. are left default.
Thanks to @dmatusek for the suggestion, but please note I am not accepting requests. If you want a livery made, your best bet is to use this page's request function, there are lots of wonderfully talented people in the community. Because of reasons, I cannot promise when, how often, or if ever will this pack be updated. Anyway, if you find any glaring mistake, feel free to post it in the comments and I might look into it.
Enjoy and safe skies!
