Here we have the central Wales Llandegley International Airport
Croeso i Llandeglau
Welcome to Llandegley
Look for EGCG "Llandegley International" in your world map
The airfield is located to the east of Llandrindod Wells in mid Wales
Construction of this airport started with a road sign in 2002
Since then various buildings, hangers, a tarmac runway, terminal and club house have all been built and now we have quite an eclectic international airport of world repute
To celebrate the first international flight, the local council commissioned a display of models from iconic monuments from around the world, this is faithfully reproduced here.
The airport was built with grants, so expect to see EU signs around
Thre are no taxi ways or lights, grant money ran out at that point.
By a complete stroke of luck, the local council decided to base all their buildings on MSFS standard buildings, so i had no need to hand craft any buildings, other than a few small domestic buildings on the periphery near the car park
You might need all the world updates as the models are from random places
The trees on the entry to runway 27 have just been cut down so help yourself to logs
This airport is also known as "Cardiff North" by RyanAir.
Road sign location: 52.27416, -3.32663

First of all, you did a very nice job, the airport looks great. but EGCG is the ICAO code of Stubby Airport and there is an airport view with this code on this site.

OH, ok, thank you, i will change it, sorry about that. I thought I looked in MSFS and there wasnt one. Maybe that airfield is not in MSFS yet

Not for me personally but ive given it a "totally in love" rating just for the description
awesome to see some humour. I've actually driven past this location many times the airport is well hidden

If Mr/Mrs "Angry-Thumbsdown" could let me know what their specific grumble is perhaps I can fix it ? No point is downrating something without helping the community out by telling me why

I seriously wondered what this was all about mgh65 until I googled it. It looks like you've had a bit of fun with this.
Not for me though as I want MSFS to be as real as it gets (save for a few historic airfields I still like to use such as Plymouth and Filton).I'm sure others are going to enjoy your creation though.

Thanks, yeah, it was fun, but i can assure you this model was created after careful survey's on site and is very accurate.
I agree with you about wanting the sim as realistic as possible, this is my only diversion - I promise !
For anyone else wondering: This all started with a fake road sign put up by a local resident in the middle of no-where, google "Llandegley International Airport - Wikipedia" will give you the idea
