This is my first contribution here, so any issues, please respectfully and politely get in touch and let me know!
On the 20th of January 2023, the new 1500m x 18m runway at Mount Beauty Airfield (YMBT) was officially finished and opened to aircraft. The new Runway exceeds the previous length (910m L x 10m W) by 590 meters, allowing larger aircraft to land and take off.
This scenery REQUIRES World Update Australia and the included Microsoft YMBT Mount Beauty Airport scenery to be installed. I consider this package to be an enhancement to the Microsoft release of the Airfield... While the runways, taxiways, and parking are overridden, many elements rely on the Microsoft package being installed.
In addition to the new Runway, I have added additional taxiways/pavement and parking spots, a helicopter start point, as well as adjust the placement and size of some of the Microsoft custom buildings. Additional clutter has been added as well as gliders, glider trailers additional gable markings and some vegetation. I have also adjusted the position of the Glider tow at the end of the runway.
Many exclusions have been created to allow the replacement of buildings and objects as well as removing the fence from where the shorter runway used to finish
To the North of the airfield, located on Damms Road is a small private airstrip. I have named this Damms Road Airstrip (YMBTP) and added a runway, parking spots, hangar as well as clutter to the airstrip.
These two airfields are supplied as separate packages, so one, the other or both can be installed.
I figure this is a good way to dip my toe in the water, despite having many projects and custom models in various stages of completion...
This scenery enhancement utilises elements of and requires:
Emerald Scenery Design: https://emeraldscenerydesign.com/products/eolib-msfs/ or also available via the MSFS Marketplace (Damms Road Hangar, Hay Bails, Horses, various clutter)
colinj: https://flightsim.to/file/16007/msfs-object-library-with-150-models-ranging-from-towers-hangers-terminals-to-cones (Gliders, Windsocks)
ethnicfs: If you already have this library, there is no issue. If you are unable to access the library, only minor clutter objects will be missing. I will look to reduce the reliance on this library in my upcoming update. https://flightsim.to/file/45163/ethnicfs-misc-scenery-objects (Clutter at Damms Road) (worth having this installed also: https://flightsim.to/file/43395/ethnicfs-cars-library)

Hi ahunterg95,
Firstly love the scenery. Exceptional quality.
When I installed the scenery a few weeks back I didnt notice any changes. As I dont fly airliners that often, I didnt notice the ground crews, catering, power, fuel, and baggage facilities are not there anymore. I see this has already been raised, and as I am using the most current version, I can confirm the issue is still there ...for me anyway.
I am still going through the balance of my addons, but at this point I have narrowed it down to these two.
I thought I would be worth mentioning, and I would be interested if you can replicate the issue, or if anyone else has the problem after your vesion update.
Regards
Craig

Hi Craig, sorry about the delay. At this stage I have checked the latest version: 0.9.4 again and ground services are present at YMBT, YMBTP and further afield. The latest version doesn't have any form of Service file (as I am yet to master it without it having negative and broad ranging side effects).
I can only sugest that you try removing my file/s from you community folder and restarting the sim, checking, closing the sim and then re-adding it to the community folder. I have had a few suspect add-ons myself only to find the install to have been somehow buggy...
Please let me know how you go!

Hello ahunterg95.
First of all let me say thank you for the upgrades to Mount Beauty, it is looking terrific.
I downloaded and installed today's update, along with the other installation packages, and have run into a problem with launching gliders. The wing runner animation no longer works and the glider wing drops to the ground. I tried launching from different airports (Albury) and the wing runner problems persists.
I have re-installed version 0.9 (keeping all of the other current installation packages) and the wing runner animation returns and works correctly.
I also noticed that the Damms rd airstrip folder was inside of the Mt Beauty Airstrip folder in V0.9. I cut this out and paste it into the community folder and the airstrip now appears.
Thanks again for your work.

Thanks for raising this with me Damog, I am seeing this occur also!
I will get onto it first thing tomorrow and see what's going on. I have my suspicions, but I will see...
As for the Damms Rd Airstrip folder, once the downloaded package is extracted it should open and show two folders within, one being YMBT and the other being YMBTP, both then get copied over to the Community folder together. I have downloaded the package from FS.TO myself and that is how it works for me.

The emerald package has been archived and the ethicfs package has been deleted. How will this impact your airport?

Thanks for the heads up, I am gradually working on custom models of my own, however the vast majority of my work is in and around the runway/s, parking spots and taxiways. The ESD library is available free via the MSFS Marketplace and is very important for the Damms Road airstrip in terms of the hangar and clutter. (I'll update the dependency list in the description)
As for Ethnicfs, if you already have the library it will obviously work. If not, only a few minor clutter objects will be missing. I will have to look at NOT relying on the Ethnicfs library as part of my next update, I am not aware of the circumstances and it's presence anywhere else...

Nice work thankyou, but I'm noticing airport objects and grass textures outside the airport boundaries popping into view suddenly on approach. There's no problems at other airports, any ideas?

Thanks for the feedback, are you able to direct message me a screenshot? Also, does the issue appear without this package installed?

1st one hey? I have always loved this strip as it was available from quite early in the life of the sim, and it is close to a lot of short GA hops. As for your effort - these are 2 absolute first class fields! Love it! I was surprised and delighted by the 2 horses near the end of the private strip, I will have to keep my eye open for other stuff, I'm sure! Really well done!

So glad you are enjoying it and really appreciate the feedback!
First time release, long time practice (this is something like my 68th Dev package since Late 2021) :) Obviously a lot of credit goes to the super talented developers of the libraries that I have used... Such beautiful objects to work with. In saying that I hope to add a custom library for this package so as to add at least a custom sign (3D modelling is also something I have also been practicing)
YMBT is my all time favorite airstrip in my home state, I have been wanting to see it since FSX/P3D... So to see it in MSFS and then to have it upgraded by Microsoft was really special. It was a super handy building block to work off and enhance especially after the real world runway upgrade.
It was the very least I could do!

So glad you like it! I have been in amongst Dev mode since late 2021, so have had plenty of time to practice and finally pluck up the courage to give back and release something.
