A repaint of the excellent Asobo/Microsoft/Orbx de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou in the colours of the Royal Malysian Air Force. This example, FM1109 (c/n 278), was one of 18 ordered by the air arm and had a surprisingly short career; delivered new from DHC in May 1969 and assigned to 8 Squadon at RMAF Labuan in East Malaysia, it was written off the following March after ditching in Cowie Bay. The aircraft was reportedly engaged on training flight from its home base to Tawau via Kota Kinabalu on the day of the accident when it descended to low level to conduct 'technical flying' around a mile offshore. It was during these manouvres that it struck the sea, breaking into two and immediately sinking with the loss of 10 of the 19 passengers and crew on board.
