You get 3 (plus 1) Clippers in this vintage jet-age livery pack for PMDG's DC-6B. Pan Am’s DC-6B’s were the “best of breed” with upgraded Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engines, which were more powerful than previous versions. Gross weight and fuel capacity were also higher. The airline called them “Super 6’s.” There was a complete re-design of the cockpit too, with elaborate upgrades in avionics. Pan American’s Douglas Super DC-6B may be tourist in cabin appointment, but it is super de luxe in cockpit appointment.
Carefully re-creating the jet-age livery design based on old photos and some model aircraft I saw online, I tried to match the design as close as it was in 1958. Unable to find many interior photos, I re-textured the cockpit and cabin a bit as best I could. All 3 liveries have slightly tweaked interior and exterior, plus a version with no Clipper name, registration, and number is also included. You'll be able to fly the following Clippers:
N6117C (Clipper Berlin)
N6524C (Clipper Essen)
N6526C (Clipper Heidelberg)
N/A (No Clipper Name)
Note: A DC-6A "Cargo Clipper" is also available here if you want to do some cargo runs.
