Here we have the classic British Eagle livery used by the airline on its Bristol Britannia aircraft re imagined for the 146!
British Eagle was an international airline based in London, founded in 1948. The airline was started with a budget of just £100!
British Eagle started out with a fleet of just two aircraft which were both converted wartime bombers used for freight.
The airline saw continual growth even starting aerial cruises around the mediterranean and then joining the package holiday market, offering flights and accomodation for a low price. The airline also opperated a number of different aircraft types including the Vickers Viscount, Bristol Britannia, BAC One Eleven and the Boeing 707 seeing routes all around Europe and some international routes.
The company struggled to maintain financial stability during the 1960s and eventually filing for bankruptcy on the 6th November 1968 with the last ever flight being the arrival of a Bristol Britannia into Heathrow from Rotterdam.
British Eagle never opperated the 146, the company was liquidated long before the 146 was developed.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated :)
