17 Squadron SAAF is a squadron of the South African Air Force. It is currently a transport/utility helicopter squadron.
First formed: 1 September 1939
Historic aircraft flown: Junkers Ju-52/3m, Blenheim V, Lockheed Ventura GR V, Vickers Wellington, Vickers Warwick GR V, Harvard, Sikorsky S-55, Sikorsky S-51, Sud Aviation Alouette II, Aérospatiale Alouette III, Aérospatiale Puma, SA 365N Dauphin
Current aircraft flown: Atlas Oryx, Agusta A109LUH
Current base: AFB Swartkop, Pretoria (administratively under AFB Waterkloof, Pretoria).

Is it possible you are able to make the thumbnail like all the other Allouettes in the livery section? Thank you so much for putting this together, I have been scanning every day on this site for some decent soul to do a SAAF livery. Thank you for doing so!

Thank you for this Fuzzy Bear, would be great if you could give it some weathering and also add the SA flag on the tail. The Allouette had many squadrons in SA and was very active in our Bush War.

Hi Patrick, unfortunately I don't know how to do that. I was planning a Rhodesian version, but that requires weathering.
