CDU9 is Dunnville Airport located in Dunnville, ON, Canada. It is approximately 45km SW of Niagara Falls ON, on the Northern shore of Lake Erie.
CDU9 is formerly known as No. 6 RCAF Service Flying Training School as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP) opening in 1940. The Yale, Anson, and the Harvard were the training aircraft of the day. In 1993, the airport was designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Site, and in 2013 all flight operations ceased at the airport ending a 73 year service to the community.
Today, the (closed) airport is privately owned, but public is still invited to visit the museum located in the former Hangar No.1 building to explore history, photos, and artifacts from the site. Over recent years, CDU9 has been a location of many film and television productions, and local community events are still held there.
BackStory - This scenery is a Gmax airport I created years ago for FSX. I have never released it due to loss of the master Gmax files in a computer crash. It remained unfinished for years. However, the last render .bak file from GMax was recently found on an old external drive! Using ModelXConverter and the SDK, I brought it back to life, and I invite you to emerse yourself in this historic little airport. There are things going on all around the property, little scenerios and stories emerging, feel free to explore.
And just to note...
In my research, I was sent photo scans from the currator of the Dunnville museum taken during the BCATP period showing, the original control tower building. Today, a patch of grass remains in the location. I felt I'd like to try and recreate it somehow to honour the airport's former self as an RCAF training base "Home of The Harvard and Yale". Remembering I still had FS9 files on a disk, particularly Canadian BCATP sceneries by Flight Ontario Scenery Group, I was elated to discover they had modeled the exact control tower as part of their model library. Trying to find members of the former developing group was challenging, until I spotted Jim Kanold flying over Toronto in MSFS. Once C.O. of the group, he graciously granted me permission to convert the model for MSFS and use it in my scenery. I was involved with the fellas years ago for a couple of projects where I came to know and learn Gmax through Al Gay, principal 3D modeler of the group. Jim said Al would be glad to see his work in the current sim. So we remember Al Gay, a creative GMax artist, teacher, friend.
The green BCATP tower building and the tarmac Harvards, are models created by Flight Ontario and are used with permission from Jim Kanold. They are, as they were created for FS9 in Gmax. I just converted them to MSFS format, and added PBR textures.

I wonder, would it be possible to link the various library dependencies instead of just list them? I see some scenery devs do this and it makes it much easier to see what libraries you already have, and which ones you need.
Thanks again for the effort. It's a really nice scenery.

As I worked away, I started adding more detail using public scenery libraries found here Flightsim.to
After about a week of adding and fixing, I am releasing the latest version of this former FSX created airport. Please explore the details and enjoy your time at Dunnville CDU9!
