Welcome to Georgetown!
Georgetown is an unincorporated native village in the Alaskan Southwest region. It sits right on the banks of the Kuskokwim River, where George River meets the Kuskokwim.
It's located approx. 85nm south of McGrath, 135nm northeast of Bethel and 224nm west of Anchorage.
Georgetown is actually split in two by the Kuskokwim River, with parts of the settlement on both sides.
The US Census states the population of Georgetown at 2 in the year of 2010.
Besides some buildings, the rivers and endless wilderness,
Georgetown features two uncharted airstrips on either side of the river serving the settlement and cabins in the area.
Both runway are unpaved turf/gravel runways with no lighting and no maintenance. Windsocks are available on both.

- Support your freeware creators
A point I always found important to get out. Imagine the flight simulator world without the amazing work of your freeware creators. Imagine the amount of resources, time and skills that go into making all ours sim world so much more enjoyable. Imagine how motivating for all those creators it is to get all your feedback, comments, appreciations and support - and it definitely is. Consider giving back to all those people who make all of this possible. A nice comment, valuable feedback and/or a donation means the world to us. Even small donations help with maintaining/keeping hard drive space, materials & textures, software subscriptions, and and and.
As always:
It's never expected, but always highly appreciated!

Wookie has been hard at work, it's a good day when you can get 3 more great Wookie airstrips! Thanks Wookie!

Terrific as usual, I have no idea if these remote parts of Alaska actually look like this but they should. I love searching these airstrips out without using GPS - it can take a while but its worth the effort, thank you!

Thank you! Well, I hope it somewhat resembles what's there in reality and how it looks. It's a nice challenge to fly visual only in the Alaskan backcountry. Definitely, my preferred way of flying and navigating.

Well it's look like beautifull as usual, but I just can't take off, I'm always "dying" because I'm hitting something invisible on the track (and one time even before).
I don't understand what's happened ! I would use the wilga 80X but crash every time T_T

Where on the strip does it happen?
Sounds a bit weird. I'll check if I can reproduce it. Don't have the Wilga though, so have to do it with another aircraft.

Excited to try this one out. Did you make Merced River Overlook for XP11? If so that was one of my favorite bush strips. Would love to see something similar
Wookie042 author
Yes, that's me who did Merced. I'm probably not doing Merced River Overlook for MSFS but I have thought about doing some off-airport landing sites for a while now.
