This is PL344 that was at IWM Duxford. It ended up in Australia as VH-IUK and squadron call sign YO-K. I've only found one picture in the whole internet. My guess is that after that photo was taken it was then repainted. Who knows?

This add-on is related to Spitfire Mk IXc.
Thanks to Bomber for providing me with hitherto unseen photos (Not being a Facebook man) Upper wing roundels changed (not standard issue as far as I can tell), leading edges of the wing yellowed Sqd Ldr Browne's name added as is the VH-IUK rego. Oh and the labels on the prop. (Don't look too closely, they're probably the wrong spec but they look good. I am done with it now so anything else you find wrong...Keep it to yourself!

Many thanks, Ron!

I've just noticed the 'Thanks' button. Remember when we had to write thank you notes to grandma for the birthday present? I wouldn't have minded but they were always naff presents! 😄

Ron, I've noticed in your repaint that the exhaust stacks don't have the proper textures/colors (a known issue with the paint kit, but corrected by using those areas of the fuselage texture sheet copied over from the product paint schemes). PL344 has been finished in this new paint scheme for little over a year now, and it has only been to one public airshow in Australia so-far (reason for so few photographs so-far). There are quite a few photos however of it on Facebook, including these. It's one of three Spitfires owned by Shaun Browne (the other two being a Mk.XIV and Mk.V currently based in England).
