Cotopaxi International Airport
Cotopaxi International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Cotopaxi) (IATA: LTX, ICAO: SELT) is a high-elevation airport in Latacunga, the capital of the Cotopaxi Province in Ecuador. The airport is within a broad valley of the Ecuadoran Andes, with rising terrain east and west, and mountainous terrain distant in all quadrants. The Cotopaxi Volcano is near the airport so you will make the approach near the highest active volcano in the world.
It has the second longest runway in Ecuador. Runway length includes a 440 meters (1,440 ft) displaced threshold on Runway 19.
Cargo B airlines once operated to the airport with Boeing 747 freighter airplanes, making it the largest airplane to operate at this airport. Cargolux currently operates the type to Europe from Cotopaxi.
Cotopaxi International Airport serves the city of Latacunga, Ecuador, 90 minutes south of the capital Quito. The airport is equipped with the second longest runway in the country at 3693m and is primarily a cargo facility, though efforts were launched in Mar-2013 to promote Latacunga as an alternative to Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport for both passenger and cargo services on the basis of cost, proximity to exporters and expediency. The airport was approved for 24-hour operation in Mar-2013, allowing cargo operators greater flexibility. The airport currently offers domestic passenger services, while Cargolux operates freight services to Europe. The airport is operated by Ecuador's DGAC.

Cotopaxi International Airport MSFS2020
Developed by David Munoz Jensen
The Scenery was created using Asobo SDK and several programs like blender, Photoshop, Gimly to make custom 3d objects and textures used in the airport. Also I made some meshes to terraform the elevation points within the airport. Please be aware that this is my first scenery and it’s been a project for about 10 years and finally decided to publish it as freeware. Its not 100% accurate to real life since I don’t have all the access to take proper photos and all the textures are made as close to real life with the data available on the internet.
The current version of the scenery is 1.2. Future updates will cover more 3d custom objects and more hand placed corrections of the scenery.
Install
To install the scenery just copy the two main folders to your community folder.
Thanks for downloading.
