Alaska Airlines N972AS - Livery for MaddogX
It was built in December 1st of 1993 and delivered in March 1994 to Alaska Airlines, it had a long journey in Alaska Airlines until 2008 when it was stored in Victorville and ended its days being scrapped later. This is a very special MD-80 it was the last one in Alaska's fleet. Its serial number is 53448
Being this the last one in Alaska Airlines fleet, i decided to create a HIGH-FIDELITY replica of this beatiful MD80. This livery has literally tonnes of work from outside to inside of the aircraft. First, the cabin, was built from scratch, Alaska had very unique interiors, so, to give it the highest detail as possible i upscaled the cabin texture up to the triple of default texture resolution (from 4096px to 12288px) and i replicated the seats, walls and floor using some pictures that i found after a deep search.
- Seats: A really pain to do, they are almost same as the real ones from Alaska, they don't match at 100% due to how the cabin was modeled by LSH. My eyes are gone after trying to see details from real seats photos in low res.
- Cabin walls: Easier to do than the seats because some Alaska's 737-800 still have that interior. This livery features a nice replica of the real one, i used high resolution fabric textures.
- Cockpit: This was easy and complicated at same time, all cockpit pictures that i found had very low resolutions, but after a very deep search i found a couple that helped me to replicate the N972AS cockpit at 100%. The cockpit coloring was also changed to a more accurate 'pinkish' color.
- Exterior: It features my last version of dirt and wear level layers from my custom paint kit. The Eskimo in the tail is very accurate comparing it with other Alaska liveries released. Also, i decided to overhaul completly the windshield frame textures and i gave it a better looking, now it has a real positioning of rivets and other details, overall, it matches a MD80 windshield better. Btw, exterior has accurate Alaska's colors.
The whole livery represents an accurate Alaska Airlines livery with minimal mismatches. This was made with love and dedication, i hope you enjoy and really appreciate this lovely plane. I attached to the compressed file 2 pictures that will give you more info about the Alaska MD's era and their interior.

ESPAÑOL
Alaska Airlines N972AS - Livery for MaddogX
