The Signal de Botrange has been the highest point in Belgium since 1919, reaching an altitude of 694 meters. It is located on the High Fens plateau, in the Ardennes Massif, in the province of Liège, within the municipality of Waimes (formerly part of the Robertville municipality). Its location exposes it to a harsh climate, monitored by a meteorological station. (Thank you Wikipedia for this explanation)
