GSX Pro Ground Services Sky Simulations MD-11 Aircraft Profile
The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is an American tri-jet wide-body airliner manufactured by American manufacturer McDonnell Douglas (MDC) and later by Boeing. Following DC-10 development studies, the MD-11 program was launched on December 30, 1986. Assembly of the first prototype began on March 9, 1988. Its maiden flight occurred on January 10, and it achieved FAA certification on November 8, 1990. The first delivery was to Finnair on December 7 and it entered service on December 20, 1990.
It retains the basic trijet configuration of the DC-10 with updated GE CF6-80C2 or PW4000 turbofan engines. Its wingspan is slightly larger than the DC-10 and it has winglets. Its MTOW is increased by 14% to 630,500 lb (286 t). Its fuselage is stretched by 11% to 202 ft (61.6 m) to accommodate 298 passengers in three classes over a range of up to 7,130 nmi (13,200 km). It features a glass cockpit that eliminates the need for a flight engineer. The MD-11 failed to meet its range and fuel burn targets. The last of 200 aircraft was built in October 2000 after Boeing merged with McDonnell Douglas in 1997. Some MD-11 freighters were built, but many more are converted MD-11 passenger aircraft, many of which are still in service with cargo airlines.
Design
Two-crew glass cockpit
The MD-11 is a medium- to long-range widebody airliner, with two engines mounted on underwing pylons and a third engine at the base of the vertical stabilizer. It is based on the DC-10 but features a stretched fuselage, increased wingspan with winglets, refined airfoils on the wing and tailplane, new engines, and increased use of composites.[3] The winglets are credited with improving fuel efficiency by about 2.5%. The MD-11 has a smaller empennage than the DC-10 it is based upon.
The MD-11 features a two-crew cockpit that incorporates six interchangeable CRT-units and advanced Honeywell VIA 2000 computers. The cockpit design is called Advanced Common Flightdeck (ACF) and is shared with the Boeing 717. Flight deck features include an Electronic Instrument System, a dual Flight Management System, a Central Fault Display System, and Global Positioning System. Category IIIb automatic landing capability for bad-weather operations and Future Air Navigation Systems are available.
The MD-11 was one of the first commercial designs to employ a computer-assisted pitch stability augmentation system that featured a fuel ballast tank in the tailplane, and a partly computer-driven horizontal stabilizer. Updates to the software package made the airplane's handling characteristics in manual flight similar to those of the DC-10, despite a smaller tailplane to reduce drag and increase fuel efficiency.
The MD-11 incorporates hydraulic fuses not included in the initial DC-10 design, to prevent catastrophic loss of control in the event of hydraulic failure.

To access this folder on your computer simply hold down your "Win" key whilst pressing the "R" key on your keyboard. This will bring up a Command Line Run box where you can copy the above underlined text into it. This will open your GSX Pro folder where your DEFAULT Aircraft Profiles are kept, that's it!

ONLY FOR AIRCRAFT THAT DO NOT HAVE AN EFB TO CONTROL PASSENGER NUMBERS:
One of the things that help with immersion with ALL Simulator Aircraft are the payload settings, for you to get the most PAX on an aircraft when boarding and deboarding you need to set the payload settings in the sim for these aircraft between 30% - 100%. You can save these settings by pressing "Save" and giving it a name or leaving the default name given to the file generated. If not done, the most you will see boarding and deboarding - in most aircraft that do not have an EFB to allow for Passengers, would be approximately 1 - 4 passengers. With this setting set to 100% you will get the max PAX payload that the aircraft can accommodate. REMEMBER to do this, or your simulation immersion will be hindered to the lesser load of the aircraft.
**** IMPORTANT ****
You may or may not experience an alignment issue with your aircraft once you've picked a parking slot to start off in. GSX Pro does not automatically put you into the parking slot that was created in the profile, it chooses the default spot that the developer created. A way to compensate for this, according to the GSX Pro Discord mediators, before you start your simming experience activate the GSX Main Menu and choose 0 - Reposition Aircraft, then choose 1 - Reposition here at gate. This will place your aircraft’s front two bogies onto the created spot in GSX Pro. Your alignment is now correct and your belt loaders, and stairs will line up with the PAX waypoint pathways that was created in GSX Pro.
According to GSX Discord you should always do this in any GSX Pro Profile you are using. Not just mine, but any profile that is created and downloaded here in FlightSim.to. A good rule of thumb to always practice...
