Grønholt is a small airfield in the northern part of Sealand in Denmark
Grønholt airfield goes back to 1940 where Bohnstedt Petersen created a 400 X 400 grass runway. He was one of Danish flying pioneers who could see the future in aviation. In 1962 a real runway was built and the airfield was home for airplane and radio workshops, flight training, and production of Yankee airplane under license from American Aviation.
The large building close to the tower was made for a DC-3 (C-47) which was bought from the Danish Airforce back in 1984.
Today Grønholt Aviation Club resides on the airfield covering aircraft enthusiasts, professional and amateur pilots.
