Another «period rendition» scenery, a combination of map/aerials retouching and 3D work: the surroundings of Toussus Le Noble (LFPN) and the adjacent Bleriot Flight School. The airfields themselves are covered by the «1935 Toussus Le Noble LFPN» addon by Redwing available on Marketplace (for the record: I have no affiliation to them).
My reworked aerials cover 10x10km (the orange square), however I removed buildings and replaced urban scenery with (mostly) forests on a far larger scale. I wasn't able to remove modern Paris' high buildings (probably too far away?). But in the vicinity of the airfields you now find only rural landscape and wild nature. Don't aks for historic accuracy! Se non è vero, è ben trovato...
V 1.0 is a first «rough & ready» version. I later may tune it, add poplars, birds, live stock or more rural looking houses (in place of the procedural generated buildings)...
It goes without saying that you should disable all the lovely addons that bring nowadays' clutter to MSFS: powerlines, marinas, traffic & any other VRF-stuff.
You may keep and use: birds, castles, season enhancer (summer is recommended!)
MANDATORY
Currently nothing
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
- «1935 Toussus Le Noble LFPN» by Redwing (exclusively on Marketplace)
RECOMMENDED (but you may do without)
- «1935 France» by Redwing on Marketplace (replaces AI vehicles with period ones, also removes the high buildings in Paris)
- SE_Lib (currently only a few building replacements with a more 'rural' type)
- If you use Map Enhancement «Bing latest» should provide best integration of my aerials, but you can try any other map.
HINT: If you leave my map in southwestern direction the default scenery contains much less modern features and landmarks than in the opposite direction (towards Paris).
All comments are welcomed. Enjoy!
PS: Screenshots made with Redwing's «1935 LFPN» scenery activated, Blériot XI by Wing42 and my «Langenbruck» livery of Swiss aviator Oskar Bider
