Larsen Bay is a small city in the Kodiak Island with a population of roughly 90 people.
Nevertheless, it is a common tourist destination and there are some cozy lodges in the city.
Larsen Bay is strategically located to offer a perfect starting point to explore Kodiak Island.
In alternative, one could depart from Seldovia, head SW to the Katmai National Park and then head for Kodiak island.
The airport has a gravel runway with VASI on both ends and is long enough to accommodate your favourite turboprop or, for the dauntless, perhaps even a small bizjet.
A flight from Seldovia is roughly 1.5hrs with a slow airplane (C172) or 50 minutes with a fast airplane such as Rob Young's excellent Turbo Bonanza or any other 170kts+ cruise GA airplane.
Be careful of the local fauna.
