TACA was created in 1931, originally in Honduras and later expanding and creating sister divisions as TACA El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Venezuela, with a partnership and investiments of PanAm.
With the arrival of the C-47s converted into DC-3s after the war, from 1945 the company expanded the lines, connecting from the United States until South America, and a beautiful livery, here depicted with the XH-TAZ, which was restored from an Honduras Air Force C-47 with a fictional honduran register.
The livery resemblence with the brazilian Aerovias Brasil is not a coincidence. The brazilian airline was also part of the TACA conglomerate and kept the livery, even adjusting the "macaw" logo slightly to depict the Guanabara bay.
