Martyr Homestead Airstrip, for MSFS
Real place with a fictitious ICAO code NZ52.
Version 1.0
--Description--
The Martyr Homestead is a little settlement between the Martyr River and the Cascase river, in the Westland area, South Island, NZ.
The Cascade river runs into a beautiful and cleared, flat valley in this region which is covered with one of the most dense and wet native forest of the world.
The landscape is beautiful and very remote, hence the airtrip. Don't expect to meet many people there! But it could be a good stop or departure for your Wetland explorations.
It's located not far from Neils Beach, between Haast and Milford Sound.
--The scene--
The scene is a complete creation as it doesn't exist in base MSFS.
I used several default assets and many others from various libraries.
It has been developed using the Orbx NZ Mesh, so I can't guarantee its compatibility with the base mesh.
Work done:
- airstrip and parking place creation
- autogen building replacement
- intensive adjustments of vegetation (a lot of patches were missing in the area while the valley was having too many trees...)
- intensive creation of the Martyr River in the area
- a bit of terraforming
Note: better rendered with Bijan 4-seasons vegetation or even better with REX Accuseason.
--Installation--
Please remove any previous version of this scenery you may have.
Just unzip and drop the "sbworks-airport-nz52-martyrhomestead" folder into your "Community" folder of MSFS.
It is more than strongly recommended to install this library:
- Dave's 3D people library
- Dave's 3D animals library
- TSR Windy things
- SBworks Library v1.4 or later
--Credits--
All work done by SBWorks (Stéphane Beilliard).

Is this compatible for World Update 12 NZ? or not yet?
SBWorks author
Yes, it's basically compatible. It would only need few cosmetic adjustments.

Thankyou for updating your sceneries to WU12 compatibility. Are you still finalizing the last few or do they work fine in WU12. Thanks
SBWorks author
Hi! I still have a few to work on indeed. But there may be mainly altitude/terraforming issues with the remaining.
