UPDATE v2.0
Courtesy and generosity of Raimondo Taburet this update brings his animated birds into the scene, mostly big, well-nourished seagulls, single or in flocks. High above in the sky you may also spot one or the other bird of prey.
This addon brings some shipwrecks, debris and clutter to the «Goose Bowl» scene that comes together with Parallel42's Juice Goose UTV vehicle (payware). You can install my scenery without their addon, but you'll miss most of the fun.
Parallel42 call their «Goose Bowl» scene a «playground» and I took them by the word and played around. I spread wrecks and debris all over the beach so you can do a little bit of the odd slalom. And if you're lucky you may find a treasure chest. On both ends of my scenery are long piers with anchored sailships. You can drive on them, they are just wide enough that you can turn the Juice Goose without the need of backing up. But be carefull, the piers' borders are not solid (collidable) and you may end up in the water.
A replica of Admiral Nelson's majestic Vanguard sailship is shuttling between the piers with 3 minutes of boarding time. You may spot a couple more sailships out on the ocean.
This scenery contains no assets of its own, all assets are in the mandatory files.
MANDATORY (latest versions):
- Sailships 3D Model Library (SimObjects)
- Scilly sailships scenery (NO need to cascade down the addidtional libs recommended there)
- WU Oceania POI (piers)
RECOMMENDED
- Parallel42's «Juice Goose» is highly recommended. I suggest to start on Parking Lot 1 of the scenery, just before the race strip.
As always: To see wakes set Mean Ground Level wind layer to 6-10. That also helps a lot to make objects in water (like anchored ships and wrecks) look more natural.
Enjoy!
Last not least: EVERY scenery designer is invited to enlarge this playground project by «claiming» a stretch of the beach north or south of my scenery and putting his/her own stuff (obstacles) on it. I heard that Cli4D has plans for something, so maybe connect with him befory you set your boundary stones. ;-)
