UPDATE v2.0
Courtesy and generosity of Raimondo Taburet this update brings his animated birds into the scenery, mostly seagulls, but also a few crows and high above some birds of prey. However you won't see birds on every stretch of coastline. But you can't miss them in the wider airport areas. They're also around all static/anchored ships, including the carriers.
This fictional scenery is for the low flying VFR adventurer and adds some more eyecandy stuff to the already beautiful Mayotte island:
- moving historic sailships of different type and nations
- anchored sailships, some with shuttle rowboats
- wooden shipwrecks of all kind
- a «Pirate's Cove»
- carriers (WWII & French carrier Charles de Gaulle), provided the respective addons are installed
This scenery contains no assets of its own, all assets are in the mandatory or recommended files.
MANDATORY (latest versions):
- Sailships 3D Model Library (SimObjects)
- Scilly sailships scenery (NO need to cascade down the addidtional libs recommended there)
RECOMMENDED
- airport FMCZ. Among other things this freeware scenery lifts the runway to the correct height. Wrecks along the runway are best with this addon.
- FMCR - ULM DAPANI aka CHIRONGUI. Very nice grass strip on the southern coast. Definitely not for the faint of heart! But you can master it with small GA and warbirds.
- Taburet's Reunion & Mayotte enhancement with 5m mesh. Makes a huge difference, especially to the picturesque valleys of the island! Payware, but certainly worth the small price, especially since his mesh enhancement also covers my Reunion sailship addon. (No affiliation)
- WWII Carrier USS Lexington by Milsim. With this payware installed you will easily spot the carrier on your final leg for FMCZ.
- WWII carriers Yorktown, Wasp & Hornet (in Bay and near coast) and Frech atomic carrier Charles de Gaulle (outer perimeter). For these to see you'll must be lucky to have Superspud's Carrier Group addons Vol.1 & 2 - which currently are not available.
As always: To see wakes set Mean Ground Level wind layer to 5-10. That also helps a lot to make objects in water (like anchored ships) look a little more natural.
Many thanks to Mamu (https://www.youtube.com/@MSFS-SDK-TUTORIALS). His toolbox made this addon possible.
Enjoy!
