A repaint of the excellent Asobo/Microsoft/Orbx de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou in the colours of the Connecticut Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (CT AVCRAD). The unit is part of the State National Guard and provides aerial logstics and aviation maintenance support and performs major aircraft repairs that cannot otherwise be undertaken at an Army Aviation Support Facility. This particular aircraft, 62-4149 (c/n 085), was originally delivered to the US Army's 61st Aviation Company at Fort Bragg, California in November 1962, was briefly leased to Air America during 1964 and then transferred to the US Air Force in 1967 as part of Operation Red Leaf. It subsequently moved to the Air National in 1976, and then to the Army National Guard in 1987 where it receieved these colours.
Following its military service, it was eventually acquired by the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation in 2005 as N149HF (where it was repainted in its original US Army markings) before passing to its current owner, the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison, Texas.
